Workshops concerning design based on the 3R rule: reduce, reuse and recycle.
Subject: ‘Reuse – luminous object as dominant element of minimalistic interior. The utilisation of LED light bulb and waste.’
Objective: Experiencing the affluence of forms, utilisation of the potentials of materials the forms are made of. Making a new life to the waste. Seeking the manifold ways to match materials, consequential of their properties and interaction.

Sculpture perversely suggests the functionality, acting of the beholder’s senses, and interfering with its association. Meanwhile, the shape is a metaphor for the physical properties of glass – an endless cycle in which the material can move in different states of aggregation under the influence of temperature.
The classical form of the object at a glance resembles a standard element of the interior, which in the context of the place departures from traditional presentation of works of art on pedestals and in showcases. This prompts the viewer to greater alertness, search and when is finally identified – surprises with it’s detail, the material used, finesse play of light and shadow.

Juggle glass objects arranged as frozen in motion, suggest the show is taking place.
Absence of an animator and dynamics of composition introduces tension. It can affect the mood of the recipient, also it can cause the interaction.This situation is also kind of ironic, because wild game with glass props can cause serious lacerations of the animator’s body. The danger lies in the fact that he can go wrong only once, it intensifies/escalates the drama of the event. In reference to Late-Latin name “joculari”, which is meaning “joke”, the installation constitutes a humorous parallel to the glass material and technological “tricks”.

Wooden platforms became a common area of creation, taming and artistic interventions. Motifs of multiculturalism, mobility of craft techniques, processing ready- made products or adapting to existing conditions guided the whole event.

Inconspicuous and discreet interference with intermingling zones of the private and the public. Sunshine becomes the creator of graphic effects in domestic interiors. Words and phrases embroidered with a reflective thread become visible even for passers-by due to street lights. The effect is greatly reinforced by turning lights on inside the house. The installation becomes dynamic and alive when the curtains are set in motion and the words overlap, intermingle, deform becoming more or less legible. A moment of pause, contemplation is crucial in order to read through the quote… without a warranty of success. Such a puzzle certainly encourages interaction. The curtains reveal (or perversely not) the secrets of the house and are an openwork structure between the private and the public zone. Motif of sharing one’s interior and space.

Poetry located on light panels in the immediate surroundings of signposts, posters, street names plaques or graffiti is given a new dimension. Reading and understanding poetry entails looking at it from a different angle. Words of Andrzej Saranowicz seem to be the most suitable in the context: “It is about taking over some of the traditional language and removing it out of the familiar points of reference.”
