Mirror surfaces fixed on the vertical parts of outdoor steps reflect Vistula river and its opposite bank. Moving water and its wilderness mixed with concrete elements reflect a symbolic dialogue between the two parts of the city. The illusion created by the mirrors in the immediate surroundings of urban
architecture where one can feel the substitute of nature. This discreet and gentle installation does not disturb the nature of the river. It signalizes the presence of nature in the urban life and encourages citizens to commune with it.
How can the products of human activity and nature penetrate, complement or interplay? Steps motif refers to advancement, progress, reaching higher levels- beyond the daily life level.
